Not So Fun

So I'm not going to write that much some issues in my life have completely broken me. I don't do well with change and everything is changing all at once and I can't breathe I can't handle it. I'm tired of no one taking my writing seriously it really hurts that it seems like they don't care. Update I'm reading a new book Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz and that is pretty much the only thing new sorry. Sorry for such a short blog I'm just not holding up well at all I have a viral infection that I am trying to get ride of and I am just tired, emotionally. physically and spiritually. Hopefully tomorrow's blog will be better I am  seeing my brother's new place so that should be fun. Well I'm going to go bye I love you all

Surgery Fun

Sorry the blog is up so late I woke up with an extreme stomachache and ended up in the hospital because it turned out to be CVS. Don't worry!! I am perfectly fine. So since this topic is up I thought it would be fun to tell you about the seven surgeries that I have had! Surgery 1 Right Knee: A little bit of back story I had always had trouble with my knees dislocating. Since I didn't know any better I figured it was normal and my mom said it was just because I fell a lot. Then junior high school started and I was always coming home in pain. My Uncle Todd (Yes the same name as my dad, but he is my dad's brother in law) was my doctor at the time and so when this started happening my mom took me to him. He examined them and noticed they were very loose so he taught me some exercises to do to strength the muscle. Months passed and I tried my hardest but they weren't getting any better and the exercise hurt worse than I can describe. So he sent me to physical therapy but t

Another Sneak Peak

I don't have much to tell you about I've just been in so much pain that I can barely function through the day. I did however start a new book Deep Blue By Jennifer Donnely so far it is really good. I've also been so obsessed with booktube. I have been watching videos of booktubers all day.  So as promised her is a sneak peak of The Portals Series: The Rose. Alexandria woke when there was a shift on the mattress. Sitting in front of her was a gorgeous man. He had thick shoulder length black hair and ruby red eyes . He was nicely built and had the strongest jaw line. "Alexandria." He whispered in a deep perfect voice. She didn't know why but she reached for him, she craved his skin touching her's she needed it. He leaned forward grabbing her hand and pressing it against his cheek. She felt the slightest bit of stubble, and her heart started racing he was perfect to perfect to be real. "Don't be afraid I've got you." He then whi

Sick Day

I am officially sick. I have a slight fever and a cold, I ache everywhere and can't seem to stop sleeping. So I am going to turn this into a good thing and tell you what I do to make myself feel better when I feel bad. 1: Keep Warm. The worst thing during a fever or the flu is shivering like crazy it just causes you more pain. So curl up in a blanket or take a nice warm bath to just keep your muscles to relax so that you can get better faster. 2: Stay Hydrated. The worst thing with the stomach flu especially is dehydration. It can be from just a really dry mouth to hospital serious. Soups are good for also keeping your sugar level balanced, and if you are throwing up then just drink broth if you are able to keep it down it will do the same as soup. The warmth will also clear up your chest if you have a really bad cough. 3: Plenty Of Sleep. This is the one I am struggling with now I just want to sleep all the time. When your body is trying so hard to fight away the germs it ne

My Thoughts On School

It is a new year of school and I am so happy for those who are using that time to better their lives. I do however want to take a bit of a different approach just to get you thinking so let's get started.  I am not a high school graduate I have had many problems keeping me from education, When I was in fourth grade I got a really bad case of hives so bad that they had to kill my immune system to make it go away and that's when the problems really started, It never came back right and even to this day at twenty years old I get sick at the drop of a hat. That would have been hard enough but then at age twelve my knee problems were discovered and I have spent every other year having surgery and a long six week recovery. I was so sick that I wasn't able to finish my junior year of high school I had missed so much. I got the chance to go to my senior year but I just couldn't catch up and had to have another surgery to remove my gallbladder. I now know I was also suffering

My Favorite Books

Today's entry is probably going to be the hardest one yet. Why you may ask well because I am going to be choosing my top 10 favorite books/ series to share with you guys. I read a lot so it will be hard but here are books that I love and perhaps you will love too! !: Tiger's Curse Series By: Colleen Houck. This is a story about a young women Kelsey who get's a temp job at a circus only to grow especially close to a tiger Ren. After he is bought from the circus she is asked to accompany him to India to his new home. It is there that the adventure really starts, it's fun it's romantic and the characters will dig their way into your hearts. There are more books in the series that I haven't read but I am going to pick them up as soon as I can. 2: Twilight Series By: Stephenie Meyer. I know that Twilight has a lot of mixed reviews and I totally understand why people wouldn't like it but I love it. It's about Bella who moves to Forks Washington where she m

Serious Talk

So today's blog is going to be a tad different and very personal so hopefully you can take it to help you in your own life. My life hasn't been the easiest with my health issues and unemployment. But there is one thing a secret thing that I didn't want to admit. I have really bad depression and anxiety. It always was really bad with at least one daily panic attack. It all came to head in the spring of 2015. I had just broken up with a year long boyfriend only a week before our anniversary and my dad got diagnosed with the serious condition of liver disease without ever touching a drop of alcohol or having any of the conditions that lead to liver disease. So the day before Easter I tried to take a ton of sleeping pills. Luckily what I was not aware of is that they were natural sleeping pills and very hard to OD on. I told my parents after I woke up from a deep sleep that I needed help so they took me to the hospital. I ended up being shipped to a mental hospital in Provo

Today started out busy but now it's chill haha So last night we went and got soda right after I wrote my blog then watched Ocean's 12 not quite as good as Ocean's 11 but Brad Pitt, George Cloony and Matt Damon yummy!! We then played the wii again and I wasn't quite as bad as last time but I wasn't fantastic haha. This morning we went to some yard sales and I got some really cool stuff and officially spent the 20 dollars I had in my purse but I needed cloths hahaha. So since today is kind of a just chill out day I'm going to write a bit about some of the reasons I have decided to be an author so I'm just going to jump in to it. Reason 1: I don't remember ever not writing. I have always loved stories and have always loved making up my own. In fact my mom got me this felt board castle with a bunch of fairy-tale people and I would mix them together to tell a story. Reason 2: As my friends and family know my mental and physical health isn't exac
Today is August 19th, I have been in Idaho since the 17th so I'm going to tell you about my trip so far. I grew up with a girl named Chelsey in Orem so her and her husband James lives in Idaho so I am staying with them until the 24th. My Aunt Cindy and Mom drove me here and I had a ton of fun just being able to talk to them I love my family. So we got here at about four thirty and my mom and Cindy left. We had dinner with James's grandparents and they watched a game. After they left we decided to watch a movie so we watched Ocean's Eleven. George Clooney, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt? Heck yes!!! I had never seen it before and I loved it. Then James went to bed and Chelsey and I played on the wii together and I was horrible hahaha. We then watched another movie I'm not going to say what it was but it was weird haha. The next morning we went to the food bank together and then went to Lava hot springs where we went to a museum and saw some cute stuff, we then went and go
As I start this blog I am currently in the process of editing my very first book ahhh!!! Portals Series Book 1: The Rose. I feel humbled by the the trials and blessings that have lead me here. I have burnt out so many computers in my writing it isn't even funny. I have lost or ruined notebooks and my personal life has taken so many hits. So I'm just going to jump in and hope you can keep up. I'm Shikira ReNae Savage I am 21 years old I live with my family I'm the daughter of Tina and Todd Savage and younger sister to a 24 year old brother Jaireth, I was born in Orem and lived there and American Fork and now live in Manti UT. I have been writing for longer then I can remember and I always imagined to be married as soon as I got out of high school. Well that didn't work out and through all of the hard relationships and surgeries I was forced to endure with multiple knee surgeries and my apendix and gallbladder removed I turned to books to find my love. So now I writ
